Whiteboyz

Whiteboyz is an American- French comedy film from the year 1999. Directed by Marc Levin, who together with Garth Belcon, Danny Hoch and Richard Stratton also wrote the screenplay.

Action

Flip dreams of becoming a star of the hip- hop music. He learns the slang of African Americans and dressed like the participants in the subculture. Together with James and Trevor he trains intensely. His girlfriend Sara, with whom he wants to move to Chicago, is pregnant.

Reviews

Ryan Cracknell wrote in Apollo Movie Guide, the comedy is only funny the first half hour - then you would repeat the jokes too often. The pathetic way in which Danny high play its role and similarly pathetic dialogues would still make you laugh. There are numerous cameo appearances of well-known rappers.

Marc Levin was nominated in 1999 for a special prize from the Deauville Film Festival. In 2000 he was nominated film festivals for the Grand Prix of Paris.
