Computer Kids (English original title Whiz Kids) is an American children's series that first aired in 1983. She was sent in several countries, the German premiere took place in 1989 on the RTL plus.

Content

The series is about four young people from the suburbs of Los Angeles, solve the various criminal cases. Spokesman of the group is Richie Adler ( Matthew Laborteaux ), which is a computer geek and the only one talking computer named RALF has. They are supported among others by the reporter Llewellen Farley and Lt. Neal Quinn.

German broadcasting

The broadcast took place from January to April 1989 RTL plus. The series was still anmoderiert and there was to win an IBM- compatible PC, TV channels. Occasions, most recently aired it was until March 1990.

Radio drama series

Was released in 1989 for a six-part radio drama series series on cassette with the label Europe with speakers such as Christian Stark, Björn Gebauer and Rainer Schmitt. More titles were initially planned, but are not published.

Trivia

  • The theme music is an instrumental piece of music with computer- like sounds. Programmed the computers in assembly language, as opposed to the then usual BASIC programming the computer kids.
  • There was a cameo appearance by Jameson Parker as AJ Simon, one of the two title characters of Simon & Simon. In return, the computer kids appeared in an episode of Simon & Simon.
  • The series is based largely on the success of hacker film WarGames - on war games.
