Wiesław Woda

Wieslaw Woda ( born August 17, 1946 in Paleśnica in the Malopolska province; † 10 April 2010 Smolensk, Russia) was a Polish politician, civil servant, an agricultural engineer and a deputy in the Parliament of the X., III, IV, V and. VI. Election period.

Life

After studies at the Agricultural University of Cracow was Woda 1973-1975 school inspector and 1975-1987 Chairman of the woiwodschaftlichen agricultural administration in Krakow. He was from 1976 to 1988 a seat on the city council of Krakow. In the years from 1987 to 1990 he filled the position of Vice President of Krakow. Then Woda was several years in the former voivode of Cracow voivodship. For two years, he led the Krakow office of the Agency for Agricultural Property of the Treasury ( Agencja Własności Rolnej Skarbu Państwa ). From 1994 to 1997 he was voivode of voivodeship Tarnów

For the first time a Member of the Sejm was Woda 1989-1991 in X. election period for the United People's Party ( Zjednoczone Stronnictwo Ludowe, short ZSL ). From 1991 to 1993 he was a member of the State Tribunal ( Trybunał stanů ). Since 1997 Woda was continuously delegate of the Polish Peasant Party ( Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe ). In the parliamentary elections in Poland in 2007, he was elected for the fifth time to the MPs, where he received 13365 votes in the constituency Tarnów.

From July 2007 to March 2009 was formed Woda the advice of the Public Service ( Rada SLUZBY Publicznej ) to the Prime Minister. On 2 April 2009 he was appointed as a member of the Council for civil service ( Rada SLUZBY Cywilnej ). In the V. and VI. Term of the Sejm he was deputy chairman of the Polish- Taiwanese Parliamentary Group ( Polish- Tajwański Zespół Parlamentarny ).

On April 10, 2010 Wieslaw Woda belonged to a Polish delegation headed by President Lech Kaczyński, who was to travel on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the Katyn massacre to the memorial to Russia. However, in a plane crash of the delegation near the military airfield Smolensk - North he came together with other high-ranking representatives of Poland died.

Posthumously Woda was awarded on 16 April 2010 the Commander's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta ( Krzyż Komandorski Orderu Odrodzenia Polski ).
