General

Cover illustration

The cover is similar to the style of the debut album; the group sitting on white metal chairs or standing in casual pose against a red background. The hairstyles of the singers and the kitschy outfits of the two women are similar to the first album. The photo was taken by Lynn Goldsmith.

For individual titles

The record starts with the piece Party out of bounds. The piece is reminiscent of the songs of Rock Lobster and Dance this mess around the first album. The title is inspired by Fred Schneider's radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio, but also refers to a charity event that is annually held in Athens (Georgia ), the hometown of the band.

The fourth title is give me back my man. It builds on Cindy Wilson's melodic, wide and urgent, buzzing song. The refrain, " I'll give you fish, I'll give you candy" ( German: " I'll give you fish and sweets " ), she sings very emotional despite his parody or comic content.

The fifth title, Private Idaho, at the same time marks the end of the first side of the LP release. It is characterized by rocking guitar riffs. The song was also used as a name for the film My Own Private Idaho.

The seventh title, quiche lorraine, refers to the name of a poodle.

The album ends with the piece 53 miles west of venus. The text, which consists only of the title is sung to the end.
