Wilkins (crater)

Wilkins is an impact crater on the Moon's front west of the Mare Nectaris, between the craters Pontanus in the west and Rothmann in the east. The rim is very badly eroded, the interior largely flat.

The crater was formed in 1961 officially named by the IAU by the Welsh engineer and amateur astronomer Hugh Percy Wilkins.
