Will Champlin

Will Champlin ( born April 24, 1983 in Los Angeles, California) is an American singer-songwriter. He became better known in 2013 for his participation in the talent show The Voice. He is the son of Bill Champlin.

Career

Growing up is Will Champlin in Los Angeles. Later he attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston and then went to Nashville to evolve musically. He worked as a songwriter and as a studio and touring musician. Among other things, he was involved in Heather Headley's Grammy album Audience of One as a song writer. With Chicago ( the former band of his father ), Glen Frey and Billy Ray Cyrus, he went on tour. And after his return to Los Angeles, he played the piano for a the last album by Michael Jackson.

In order to promote his solo career, he applied in 2013 for the fifth season of the talent show The Voice. The Blind Auditions, three coaches chose him in the subsequent battles he lost his duel then, however, and only came on because the fourth coach, Christina Aguilera, still caught up with him in their team. He then lost again the knockout round, and this time Adam Levine brought him back to his team. In the live shows but then Champlin was able to convince, and was in round four even the only participant of his contribution, Etta James classic At Last, was able to get into the top ten on the iTunes charts, and even in the Billboard Hot 100. Finally, he even reached the final of the show and finished at the end of third place.
