Will Sanders

Will Sanders (* in Venlo, Netherlands) is a Dutch horn.

He received his musical training with Erich Penzel in Maastricht, where he graduated in 1988 with honors. During his studies in 1985 he was a member of the European Youth Orchestra ( line Claudio Abbado ). A year later, he became assistant principal horn player in the orchestra of the National Theatre Mannheim and 1988 solo horn in the Symphony Orchestra of the Southwest Radio Baden- Baden. In 1990 he moved to the same position the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. From 1992 to 1997 he was principal horn at the Bayreuth Festival.

Sanders has previously worked with all renowned conductors of our time and, in most of Germany's leading orchestras, and the Vienna Philharmonic guest performances.

In addition to his orchestral career, he has recorded several CDs and radio recordings and has frequently performed as a soloist internationally as well as a member of various chamber music ensembles, such as German Brass, Linos Ensemble, Mullova Ensemble and Wind Art Ensemble.

He gave international horn workshops and courses in the USA, Japan, Korea, Australia, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, among others

From 1995 he taught along with Erich Penzel the horn class at the Music Academy Maastricht (Netherlands). In 2000 he was appointed professor of horn at the University of Music Karlsruhe.
