Will Wright (game designer)

William Ralph "Will" Wright ( born January 20, 1960 in Atlanta, Georgia) is known worldwide as one of the most famous designers of computer games and is co-founder of Maxis.


During his time at Maxis, he was responsible for the development of popular games such as SimCity, further games from the Sim series, as well as the highly successful game The Sims and The Sims 2 and its successor The Sims 3. In April 2009, Will Wright left the company. In the future he wants to devote more time to his own company, Stupid Fun Club.

He was taken in recognition of his work in the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences ' Hall of Fame in 2002.

2012 Will Wright got the " LARA of Honor " award for his life's work in the games industry.

Linden Lab

In October 2011, Will Wright was a member of the board of Linden Lab, the creators of Second Life.
