William Clifford Newman

William Clifford Newman ( born August 16, 1928 in Baltimore) is Emeritus Auxiliary Bishop of Baltimore.

Life

William Clifford Newman received on May 29, 1954, ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop on 25 May 1984 in Baltimore and Titular Bishop of Numluli. The Archbishop of Baltimore William Donald Borders consecrated him on 2 July of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Thomas Austin Murphy, Auxiliary Bishop of Baltimore and Eugene Antonio Marino SSJ, Archbishop of Atlanta.

On August 16, 2003 Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
