William Willard Ashe

William Willard Ashe (* June 4, 1872 in Raleigh, North Carolina, . † March 18, 1932 in Washington, DC) was an American botanist and forester. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Ashe ".

He was one of nine children of the infantry captain and author Samuel A'Court Ashe (1840-1938) and his wife Hannah Emerson Willard. Ashe was a forester at the North Carolina Geological Survey and later the U.S. Forest Service.
