Winona is a small town in the U.S. state of Arizona. It is located on the former Route 66, approximately 19 km east of Flagstaff.

History

The small town was made famous by the song Get Your Kicks on Route 66, which was composed in January 1946 by Bobby Troup. The really insignificant Winona was included in the song because Troup figure needed to " Arizona ".
