WÅ‚odzimierz Krygier

Włodzimierz Karol Krygier ( born January 29, 1900 in Jekaterinoslaw, Russian Empire, † September 17, 1975 in London, United Kingdom) was a Polish ice hockey and soccer players.

Career

Włodzimierz Krygier studied law and then worked as a lawyer. As a football player he was in Poland from 1920 to 1923 for AZS Warsaw and then for six years for the city neighbors Polonia Warsaw. In hockey it won in 1929 and 1930 with AZS Warsaw each the Polish league titles. Following the Second World War, he emigrated to London.

Internationally

For the Polish national ice hockey team Krygier participated in the Winter Olympic Games in 1928 in St. Moritz and 1932 in Lake Placid. At the European Championships 1929, he won the silver medal with his country. Also the silver medal at the European championship he won with Poland in the World Cup in 1931, when the European Championship was part of the World Cup. Overall, he played 35 international matches in which he scored four goals.
