Wójcin, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Wójcin ( German Waite village ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland.

Geographical location

The village is located about 40 kilometers south-east of Szczecin, about 12 kilometers south of Stargard ( Stargard in Pomerania ) in the historic landscape Weizackerstrasse in Pomerania. West of the village flows the river Hufnitz.

The next neighboring villages in the northwest Barnim ( Barnimskunow ), in the south Kłęby (terminals ) and in the southwest Przylep Nowy ( New Prilipp ). About one kilometer north is the dwelling place Barnim C ( Barnimskunow C).

History

The village emerged from the manor Barnimskunow g in neighboring Barnimskunow. This manor was originally an old feud of the noble family of Billerbeck been and gone through various hands since the 18th century.

In 1852 moved the then owner of Barnimskunow g, a certain Rudolf Pufahl, the farm estate of Barnimskunow to a new spot on the road to terminals. He also solved the on Founded in 1819 by a previous owner Vorwerk Thiedensfelde. The new settlement consisted of five houses and nine outbuildings and had about 100 inhabitants. In 1854 Hermann von Boltenstern acquired the manor. In the vernacular, the settlement resulted because of the local clay soil the name Lehmquatsch or Lehmsdorf, so that the owner of Hermann Boltenstern sought an official, own place names. At his suggestion, the estate was the official place names Waite village in 1863.

In 1910 the village had 136 inhabitants Gutsbezirk Waite. The Gutsbezirk belonged to Pomerania.

After the Second World War came Waite village, like all of Pomerania to Poland. It was the Polish place names Wójcin. Today, the site is located in the Gmina Warnice (Town Warnitz ) and, with this the powiat Pyrzycki ( Pyritz circle) of the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship.
