Woleu-Ntem Province

Woleu - Ntem is a province of Gabon with its capital Oyem.

Geography

The province is located in the north of the country and is bordered to the north by Cameroon, on the south by the province of Moyen- Ogooué, on the northwest by Equatorial Guinea, on the southwest by the province Estuary, on the northeast by the Republic of Congo and to the southeast by the provincial Ogooué- Ivindo

Woleu - Ntem divided into the departments of Haut - Komo, skin Ntem Ntem Okano and Woleu.

History

As a result of the Morocco -Congo Agreement, the area of the district under the name Wolö - Ntem was from 1912 until the First World War, an administrative district of the German colony of Cameroon.
