Wolfgang Jerat

Wolfgang Jerat ( born February 9, 1955 in Cologne ) is a German football coach.

Life

His career as a coach larger football clubs began Wolfgang Jerat when he and June 1992 the Wuppertal SV coached by May 1990 and these resulted from the league in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Germany -wide notoriety reached Jerat when he on 28 February 1993 - by then he was an assistant coach - Jörg Berger replaced as head coach at FC Cologne 1. He managed the club from 20th to 28th matchday. After only 7 points from 9 games ( after the 2- point rule ) and a score of 3 gained, lost 5 and a draw game he was released on 28 April 1993, replaced by the Dane Morten Olsen.

In the 1996/97 season he coached again the Wuppertal SV, but could not build on its previous successes. In the season 2005/ 06 he took over as coach at North Rhine- Oberliga FC Junker village. In spring 2007, Wolfgang Jerat took over for the third time as coach at Wuppertal SV and was the successor of Uwe Fuchs. He disagreed with the management of WSV he was on leave on February 6, 2008, despite standings and replaced by Wolfgang Frank.

For the 2008/09 season Jerat was introduced as the new head coach at Bonner SC in the new NRW-Liga, won the club champion and rose to the fourth-rate regional league. There he oversaw the club in the season 2009/10. However, despite the hedged class receipt of the Bonn SC received a license for the 2010/2011 season, as a result of high debt, the budget was not backed up. This was followed by relegation. Due to the cash-strapped Jerat received on the part of the association a new contract. Since November 29, 2011, he was a coach at FC Prishtina. But in April 2012, he was re-opened.

In November 2012 Jerat became the new coach of FC Viktoria Köln 1904. Due to health reasons, he resigned his post at the end January 2013 low.

His son Tim is a professional football player.
