Wolfgang Sühnholz

Wolfgang Sühnholz ( born 14 September 1946 in Berlin ) is a retired German - American soccer player and coach.

Playing career

Sühnholz played football for 15 years in Europe and the United States. From Berlin amateur club FC Hertha 03 Zehlendorf, he joined the 1970/71 season for the Bundesliga club Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, for whom he played 32 league games and scored six goals. He made his debut on August 15, 1979 ( 1st Round ) 2-2 draw in the away match against MSV Duisburg; He scored his first Bundesliga goal on 26 September 1970 ( 8 Round ) at the 8-1 win in the home match against Hamburger SV reduce the deficit to intermediate 2:1 in the 16th minute.

Coaching career

Wolfgang was Sühnholz 1996-2001 coach at the USSF, the American Football Association. From 1996 to 1999 he was assistant coach of the U-16 and U-20 national team, then for two years head coach of the U-20 national team. After his time as a coach in the youth sector of the Association thereafter, Sühnholz was coach of the Austin Aztex U- 23 in the USL Premier Development League by the end of 2007 until its dissolution and transition to the franchise Orlando City SC in October 2010.
