Wolrad Eberle

Wolrad Eberle ( born May 4, 1908 in Freiburg im Breisgau, † May 13 1949 in Cologne ) was a German athlete.

Eberle was at the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles third in the decathlon and thus won the first medal in this discipline for Germany. His solo performances in this competition where he reached a total of 8030 points: 11.4 s (100 - meter dash ), 6.77 m ( long jump), 13.22 m ( shot put ), 1.65 m ( high jump ), 50.8 s ( 400 -meter run ), 16.7 s ( 110- meter hurdles ), 41.34 m ( discus throw ), 3.50 m ( pole vault ), 57.49 m ( javelin ), 4: 34.4 min. (1500 -meter run ).

In 1932 he was also German champion in the decathlon.

Wolrad Eberle was a member of the Berlin sports clubs and had a size of 1.79 m, a competition weight of 77 kg.
