Woodlake is a city in Tulare County in the U.S. state of California. In 2000 Woodlake had 6,651 inhabitants. Annually in the nationally known Woodlake Lions Rodeo on Mother's Day weekend.

Geography

Wood Lake is centrally located in California. According to United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.3 km ², of which 5.1 km ² of land and 1.2 km ² is water area.

History

In 1908 bought the wealthy Gilbert F. Stevenson from Los Angeles about 13,000 acres ( the equivalent of about 53 km ²) of land.
