Woodstock is a small town and "civil parish" (municipality) in the English county of Oxfordshire, District of West Oxfordshire, about 12 kilometers north of Oxford. Woodstock has 2,924 inhabitants ( 2001). The river divides the glyme place in the districts of New and Old Woodstock.

In its territory lies Blenheim Palace, residence of the Dukes of Marlborough and the largest castle in England, which was not built for the royal family. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There, Winston Churchill was born in 1874, whose grave is in the nearby village of Bladon.

In Woodstock is the headquarters of the International Medical Group Owen Mumford.
