Wordfast

Wordfast is a utility for the making of translations ( CAT).

The operating concept in the program version Wordfast Classic differs from its competitors (SDL Trados, Déjà Vu, MemoQ ) in that it is designed as a macro - collection for Microsoft Word and do their own program interface needed. It can therefore be used directly in other application programs that allow the Word as the editor, such as Microsoft Outlook. The usual formatting functions and keyboard combinations of these programs can still be used.

Operation

Technical assistance is offered only in the first year of licensing by email. Further support for the user across multiple Yahoo! discussion groups ( main list in English, other lists on German, French, Spanish, Finnish, etc.).

Wordfast Pro

In addition to Wordfast Classic is a Word independent, stand-alone version of the program Wordfast Pro, which is based on the Java programming language and therefore next to OmegaT, Swordfish, CafeTran and Heartsome Translation Studio is one of the translation tools that work without any additional aids for the operating systems Linux and Mac OS.
