World Downfall (English for doomsday ) is the debut album by American grindcore band Terrorizer. The album was released in 1989 on Earache Records.

Genesis

Much of the material still comes from the band Nausea, were previously active in the Oscar Garcia and Alfred Estrada. Even before the shooting Estrada got out of the band and David Vincent took his part Vincent was never an integral part of Terrorizer and only as a guest musician active. The pictures were taken within two days. David Vincent commented later pejoratively about the album.

At the time of publication, the band was already disbanded. Jesse Pintado joined Napalm Death while Pete Sandoval, David Vincent Compatible with Morbid Angel. After the dissolution of Oscar Garcia dedicated once again feeling sick. 2005 the band was reformed.

Importance

World Downfall is now regarded as a milestone of the genre. The album is the first work of Scott Burns as a music producer dar. Burns should be following the main producer of the Florida Death Metal. The lyrics were critical of society and as usual for Grindcore assign more punk.
