World Junior Alpine Skiing Championships

The FIS Alpine Ski World Junior Championships are a sports event where every year in different races the Junior World Champion will be determined in the alpine skiing disciplines of Downhill, Super -G, giant slalom, slalom and combined. Since 2012, a team competition is held. Since 2014, Super Combined is discharged before the race points were to determine the combined score added from Downhill, Giant Slalom and Slalom. Is organized by the International Ski Federation FIS. Participation is open to 16 - to 21 -year-old skier (up to 2012: 15 - to 20 -year-old ), even those that go to the start already in the Ski World Cup. For the first time Junior World Championships were conducted in 1982, before that it was from 1972 European Junior Championships. According to the official version of the FIS the sporting event is named in the plural and is called "FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships ( year) ".
