World record progression 1500 m speed skating women

This list contains all recognized by the International Skating Union world records in speed skating over 1500 meters for women.

  • In the 1990s, the hinged skate was first used internationally. The folding system which enables a faster running leutette, at least since the 1998 Winter Olympics to change one.
  • H = height of the web; HI = up to 500 meters, H II = about 500 meters, H III = more than 1000 meters
  • B = system of the web; Bf = free air (open), Bh = indoor track, Bm = mix ( Semi-Open, Covered career)
  • E = ice; Ek = Fake ( cooling system), En = natural ice ( without technical cooling system)
