Wout van Dessel

Wout van Dessel (* October 19, 1974 in Lier, Belgium) is a Belgian DJ, producer, remixer and songwriter. As a DJ he is known by his stage name DJ Wout. Internationally, he has become known as a producer and songwriter primarily by the Belgian formation Sylver.

History

Van Dessel began his work in 1990 and worked as a DJ in various cult clubs in Belgium, as in " Carat " and the " illusion " ( where he is still a resident DJ ). Besides, he appeared at major international events such as the Love Parade in Berlin and completed a tour of South Africa and Russia. In 1999, he met in his club "Illusion " on the then 18 - year-old singer Silvy de Bie, since both work together and published in 2000 under the synonym Liquid feat. Silvy her first song, titled Turn the Tide. This song immediately reached rank 1 of the Flemish charts and after the name change to " Sylver " became the song and the Top 10 in Germany and sold over 500,000 times. The accompanying album " Chances" was a total of 49 weeks in the German top 100. To date, Wout van Dessel and Silvy de Bie among the most successful artists from Belgium and obtained so far seven top 20 hits in Germany, and sold over 2 million records.
