Würmla is located in Lower Austria. The area of the municipality covers 20.4 square kilometers. 18.05 percent of the area is forested.

History

Population Development
According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 1258 inhabitants. In 1991, the market town of 1164 inhabitants, 1981 and 1056 in 1971, 1016 inhabitants.
Policy
Mayor of the municipality is Anton Priesching, Office Manager Anton Nieszner. In the market there are local council after the local elections in 2010 with a total of 19 seats following distribution of seats: ÖVP 14, PRO Würmla 3, 1 SPÖ, FPÖ 1, no other seats.
