Xavier O'Callaghan

Xavier O'Callaghan Ferrer ( born March 2, 1972 in Tarragona, Spain ) is a Spanish handball manager and former handball player.

The 1,86 m tall and 80 kilograms playmaker played for 19 years for the Spanish showpiece club FC Barcelona, with whom he won a total of 55 items. After his career in late 2005, he joined the management of the club, he also works in the Forum Club Handball. In 2010, he was hanged in honor of his jersey with the No. 4 under the roof of the hall Palau Blaugrana and is no longer awarded since.

With seven EHF Champions League titles, he is record winner together with his long -time colleague Andrei Xepkin and David Barrufet.

With the Spanish national team, he won at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney bronze and also took part in the 2004 Games in Athens. O'Callaghan played 87 matches in which he scored 140 goals.
