Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half Marathon
The Yangzhou Jianzhen Half Marathon (Chinese扬州 鉴真 国际 半程 马拉松 赛, Pinyin Yangzhou Jianzhen Guoji Bancheng Mǎlāsōngsài, Eng. Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half Marathon ) is a half-marathon in Yangzhou, which takes place since 2006.
It was named after the priest Jianzhen, who worked in the 8th century in Yangzhou, before he spread the Buddhist teachings in Japan.
Route
Start is at the Wenchang Pavilion in the city center. After an arc to the south and east is to the north of the Daming Temple, teaching in the Jianzhen, driven. Further to the west is the goal at the Yangzhou Museum. The route is extremely flat with a difference of five meters of altitude between the lowest and the highest point.
