The Río Yaque del Norte is a river in the Dominican Republic.
Course
With a length of 296 km, the longest river in the country and the second longest in the island of Hispaniola. It rises in the Cordillera Central and flows into the Bahía de Montecristi, west of the town of San Fernando de Monte Cristi, in the Atlantic Ocean. It drains an area of about 7053 km ² and has an average flow rate of 80 m³ / s The Yaque del norte initially flows northeast to enable the city of Santiago de los Caballeros to constantly flow into numerous meanders in west-north- westerly direction.
