Buduma (alternative spelling: Boudouma, also: Yedina ) is a Chadian language that is spoken by the same people of the Buduma Lake Chad in West Africa.

The language is used in the four riparian countries of Lake Chad. In the Lac region in Chad live according to census 1993 51.600 Buduma spokesman. In Borno State in Nigeria are about 3000 people and in the Extrême -Nord region in Cameroon about 200 people budumasprachig. In Niger, where the language area is located in the region of Diffa Buduma has the status of a national language. There may be one north, one south and a central dialect can be distinguished. The central dialect combines peculiarities of the northern and southern dialect. While all three dialects are used in Chad, Niger is in the northern dialect, in Nigeria especially the central dialect and spread in Cameroon especially the southern dialect. Vocabulary and syntax of the Buduma are strongly influenced by the Kanuri. 60% of Buduma spokesman also use Kanembu, about half also Central Kanuri. Some use Chadian Arabic also.
