Yellow (Manga)

Yellow is a manga series of Japanese graphic artist Makoto Tateno from the years 2002 to 2004. The series, which is classified in the genre Yaoi, was continued as Yellow / R.

Content

The two 22 -year-old thieves Go Taki and work as a team for the owner of "Cafés Roost " on whose behalf they steal drugs before they can be confiscated by the police. Since both also live together, your relationship is full of conflict. The blond, strong Taki is a womanizer, while the black-haired Go, which can lock any crack, loves men. Publication

The series appeared from 2001 in the manga magazine Magazine Be x Boy of the publisher Biblos in Japan. Was published in 2004, the last chapter, all chapters were published between November 2002 and October 2004 in four anthologies ( tankōbon ) under the imprint Be × Boy comics. On 15 February 2007 there was a new edition in two volumes as kanzenban at Enterbrain.

The series was into English ( Digital Manga Publishing), French ( Asuka Comics ), Spanish ( Ediciones La Cúpula ) and Chinese ( tankōbon: Ching Win Publishing: Ever Glory Publishing, kanzenban ) translated. A German translation by Claudia Peter appeared from September 2005 to June 2006 in Egmont Manga and Anime.

The first sequel was released in Japan only for mobile phones and was published in English in 2009-2010 Digital Manga Publishing under the title Yellow 2 in three volumes. As a second sequel Yellow / R appeared on April 1, 2011 in an anthology at Imprint B's - Lovey Comics by Enterbrain. The first volume of the German version followed in October 2011 by Egmont.

Reception

According manga scene provides the plot of the manga is not much new, but it reminds on the older serial fake. However, Makoto Tateno present a nice -to-read story with humor, which was implemented graphically appealing.
