Yevgeny Lalenkov

Yevgeny Alexeyevich Lalenkow (Russian: Евгений Алексеевич Лаленков; born February 16, 1981 in Angarsk ) is a Russian speed skating all-rounder.

Yevgeny Lalenkow debuted in November 2000 at the World Cup in Heerenveen. Four times he could win the World Cup so far on the 1500 - meter track and once in the team pursuit. At the World Championships in Berlin in 2003 over this distance, he was fourth. In the season 2002/ 03 he won the overall World Cup via this route, the following season he finished third.

Lalenkow has so far participated in three Olympic Games. At the Olympic Games in 2002 in Salt Lake City, his best finish was tenth place on the 1500 meters distance. At the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin but he could achieve only a disappointing 23rd place on his parade route. Far better his performance was over 1000 meters ( 7th place). At the Olympic Games in Vancouver in 2010, he occupied an eleventh place on the 1000 and 1500 meters respectively.

In the individual sections Championship 2008 in Nagano, he finished second and won a medal for the first time as a single track.

Lalenkow has been eleven times Russian champion, four of them in a team race. In addition, ten second and six third places.
