Yiannis Moralis

Yannis Moralis (Greek Γιάννης Μόραλης, Giannis moralis or Jannis moralis, first name also " Yiannis " transcribed; born April 23, 1916 in Arta, † December 20, 2009 in Athens ) was a Greek painter. He belongs to the so-called "Generation of the 30s " on.

Life

In 1927 he went with his parents to Athens. At the age of 15, he was inducted into the Academy of Athens and studied painting with Oumbertos Argyros, Dimitrios Geraniotis and Konstantinos Parthenis, as well as Yiannis Kefallinos engraving. In 1936 he finished his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Athens and went with a scholarship from the Academy of Athens for a year to Rome. After his stay in Italy, he decided to study nationale supérieure des beaux -arts de Paris, the art of fresco and wall painting at the École.
