Yılmaz Özlem

Özlem Yılmaz ( born June 1, 1972 in Bulgaria ) is a former Turkish football player and current football coach.

Playing career

Özlem started with the club football in the youth of Bursa Merinosspor and was provided with a professional contract, involved in the professional squad in 1991. Here he came in his first season, the season of 1991/92 to 34 league operations. For the next season he moved to Inegölspor and played here for two years.

In summer 1994, its exchange for first division side Gaziantepspor was announced. Here he experienced a mixed season and was delivered to the end of the season second division Adana Demirspor. In this club, he fought his way to a regular place and played the following two seasons for this club.

For the season 1997/98 he moved to first division club MKE Ankaragucu. Here he quickly established himself as a performer and retained this role in his eight years for this club. As a result of this long period effect he is considered by fans and club side as one of the major players in club history Ankaragücüs.

For spring 2005, he joined the second division Manisaspor. With this club he reached the end of the season the championship of the TFF 1 Lig and thus the direct promotion to the Süper Lig After playing the 2006/07 season for Manisaspor in the Süper Lig, he left the club.

The following year he played at various clubs in the TFF 1 Lig and Lig TFF 2 In the summer of 2011, he ended his active career.

Coaching career

After his playing career, he decided to be a football coach. As his first role he took over in the spring of 2012, the co- coaching job at Boluspor.

For the 2012/13 season, it was announced that he has accepted the head coaching job at Süper Lig MKE Ankaragucu relegated. After 11 Matchday he announced his resignation. A few days after this resignation Mustafa Kaplan was presented as his successor.

On September 21, 2013 he was hired as head coach at second division Kahramanmarasspor. Already after 13 Matchday he resigned from his post.
