Yoshie Takeshita

Yoshie Takeshita (竹 下 佳 江jap, Takeshita Yoshie, born 18 March 1978 in Kitakyushu ) is a Japanese volleyball player. She participated in three Olympic Games and won the bronze medal in 2012.

Career

Takeshita began her career at the Shiranuijoshi High School. In 1995 she won the World Youth Championship with the Japanese youth. A year later she came to NEC Red Rockets. In 1997, she was with her club Japanese master. In addition, the setter debuted in the Japanese national team, with which they each took third place in the Asian Cup in 1997 and 1999. In 2000, she again won the national championship. According to the vice Cup 2002 Takeshita moved to its current association JT Marvelous. The following year she was second in the Asia Cup with Japan. In 2004 she took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing, reaching the quarter-finals in fifth place. In the Asia Cup in 2005 followed by a third rank for Japan. The 2006 World Cup on home soil ended the Japanese girls in sixth. Takeshita received while individual awards as the most valuable player (MVP) and best setter of the tournament. In 2007 she won after the second rank in the league with the national team in the Asia Cup. In 2008, she played for the second time in the Olympic tournament and was again fifth. In the Asia Cup 2009 Japan was also to third place as a year later at the World Championships in. Takeshita was 2011 after finishing second the previous season with JT Marvelous Japanese master again. Japan was runner-up in Asia in the same year. 2012 took Takeshita in London for the third time in the Olympics and won the bronze medal this time.
