Yoshie Wada

Yoshie Wada (Japanese和田 芳 恵, born April 6, 1906 in Oshamambe, Yamakoshi District, Hokkaidō; † 5 October 1977) was a Japanese writer, who distinguished himself especially in the Higuchi Ichiyo research. His major works include the 1943 published Ichiyo no nikki (一 葉 の 日記, GV " The Ichiyo Diaries ").

Life

Yoshie Wada visited the then Hokkai Middle School (now Hokkai High School ) in Sapporo and then went to Tōkyō, where he studied German law at Chuo University. After graduating, he took a job at Shinchosha - Publishing and wrote next to this employment novels for literary magazines. He began to deal with the work of Higuchi Ichiyōs, and during the Second World War published several papers on the subject, including the 1942 published Higuchi Ichiyo Kenkyu (樋 口 一叶 研究, dt " Studies on Higuchi Ichiyo ").

After the war he tried his hand at managing a novel magazine, but failed and disappeared without a trace from 1949 to 1952.

In 1963 he was awarded for his novel Chiri no naka the Naoki Prize the second half of 1974 for Tsugiki no dai the Yomiuri Literary Prize in the " novels ".

For Kurai nagare (暗い 流れ) in 1977, he received the Grand Prix for Japanese literature, for Yukionna (雪女) 1978 Yasunari Kawabata Prize for Literature.

The publisher Kawade Shobo published a five -volume complete edition of the works Wada Yoshies.
