Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi (Japanese川口 能 活Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi; born August 15, 1975, Fuji ( Shizuoka ) ), sometimes also called Yoshi Kawaguchi, is a Japanese football player. He is a goalkeeper and member of the Japanese national soccer team.

Life

He attended the Shimizu- trade high school and was a member of the football club. After he had finished high school, he joined the professional club Yokohama Marinos (now known as Yokohama F. Marinos ) at. He was appointed to the Japanese national team and played at the Olympic Games in Atlanta.

After more performances both for the club and for the country, he moved to English club Portsmouth FC, but there had initially settling problems. In his debut he made ​​the scapegoat when Portsmouth lost a home game against Leyton Orient 1:4.
