Young Machetes is the fifth studio album by the American post-hardcore band The Blood Brothers, and the last before its dissolution in 2007.

It was released in October 2006 and in the U.S. reached number 92 on the Billboard 200 charts. The album was also released in a special edition on different colored vinyl.

While Johnny Whitney and Cody Votolato now play at Jaguar Love, Lives make the other three members as past on.

Review

The critics verdict on the album turned out quite different. For example, while Laut.de rated the album with four out of five and called it a " totally disproportionate masterpiece in terms of energy and artistry ," the English-language Rolling Stone were only two out of five.

The songs Laser Life (2006) and Set Fire to the Face on Fire (2007 ) was released as a single, but did not reach top places in the singles charts.
