The Blood Brothers (band)

The Blood Brothers was a hardcore punk band from Seattle, USA, which was founded in 1997 and officially separated on 8 November 2007. Due to the partly experimental music, the band is also allocated to the genre of post-hardcore and compared frequently with groups like At the Drive - In and Refused. Stylistically striking was in particular the interaction of the two Hauptvokalisten that significantly differed mainly in pitch.

Band History

The band released five albums and worked with producer Matt Bayles case; together and Ross Robinson ( ... Burn, Piano Iceland, Burn ) (including Isis, Mastodon March On Electric Children). The fifth album Young Machetes was by Guy Picciotto ( Fugazi among others ) and John Goodmanson ( Sleater - Kinney, among others ) added together. The latter had been responsible for the production of Crimes.

While the first two albums were released by small independent labels, Crimes and Young Machetes appeared at the bigger label V2 Records. Both works reached the Billboard 200 charts, with Crimes came to number 157 and Young Machetes reached position 92.

After the split found all five band members new bands. Johnny Whitney and Cody Votolato founded together with Jay Clark ( Pretty Girls Make Graves at previously ), the band Jaguar Love, while the other three members carry on ( Jordan Blilie, Mark Gajadhar and Morgan Henderson ) together with Devin Welch Past Lives.
