Your Favorite Enemies is a 2006 Alex Foster ( vocals), Jeff Beaulieu (guitar), Sef (guitar), Ben Lemelin ( bass), Miss Isabel ( vocals and keyboards ) and Charles Moose Allicy (drums) founded Canadian Alternative Rock band.

The six musicians created in April 2007, the label Hopeful Tragedy Records to their five- song EP And If I Was To Die In the Morning ... Would I Still Be Sleeping With You, which was released on 1 July 2007 self-produced, to. sale On June 17, 2008, they released their first Enhanced CD: Love Is A Promise Whispering Goodbye. In 2008, she collaborated with the Japanese video game composer Takeharu Ishimoto to three songs for the soundtrack of the game Dissidia: Final Fantasy, which came in Europe on 4 September 2009 on the market to write.

Your Favorite Enemies are spokesperson against racism for Amnesty International, and also the organization Rock'n'Rights obligation which they themselves have created. Hopeful Tragedy Records

Your Favorite Enemies 2007 created her own music label, that is Hopeful Tragedy Records. Reason for the establishment of the label was the production of their EP And If I Was to Die in the Morning ... Would I Still Be Sleeping With You, which appeared on 1 June 2007.

The band, the financial risk was aware of what could happen to them when they called her label to life, so it was decided to produce the EP anyway. This turned out to be an important step in her career, the EP sold 30,000 copies worldwide, the band went for the first time in Europe on a promotional tour, where they were accompanied by leading international media. Billboard magazine described the band as one of the most exciting and best DIY bands that there are and think that they could ascend to one of the most famous rock bands in the world.

European tour ( September 25 to October 4 2007)

In 2007, the band toured through Germany, France, Great Britain and the Netherlands. The band was supported by her partner Amnesty International. For article about the band in the French and Dutch magazines of the organization have been published. The band also interviews in English Talksport radio and the French magazine Skirt One Magazine gave.

Asia Tour ( 26 May to 5 June 2008)

Japan

The band toured in 2008 by Japan, including Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. The concerts were commented upon by several magazines nationally leading. These include concert reviews at Grindhouse magazines and WeROCKCity. The band is known for its devotion to their fans, the band gave a concert for fans who are committed to help reduce suicide.

Indonesia

The band gave a concert at the Super Soul Mate show, which is broadcast on Indosiar, the largest Indonesian television station. The band was the opening act for Story Of The Year, which increased the level of awareness of the band and brought thousands of fans in Indonesia.

Other festivals

Since its inception, the band has recorded not only global performances, but also several appearances in Germany and the USA. Thus one has already appeared four times on the Canadian Music Week ( last 2010), M for Montreal, the Festival Arcadia, the Vans Warped Tour, SXSW Emergenza and on.

Music style

The band called The Clash and The Cure as musical influences. The National Post also quoted Joe Strummer to the influences of the band. Other influences are the Ramones, Pixies, Nirvana, Placebo, U2 and Radiohead.

Special

  • Before Alex Foster founded the band, he was a member of a Canadian right-wing organization. He justified his accession to his difficult childhood, frequent school changes, problems with authority, its orientation, and its aggression and violence.
