Youssouf Falikou Fofana

Yousouf "Black Diamond" Falikou Fofana ( born July 26, 1966 in Divo ) is a former Ivorian football player.

Fofana, who started with the club football at the age of 12 years, played in his youth at ASEC Mimosas in his home country. With just over 17 years, he left the Ivory Coast to go to Europe. The main part of his career he spent in France, particularly at AS Monaco, where he played for eight years. The other stations were Girondins de Bordeaux and AS Cannes. At the end of his playing career Fofana moved to Al -Nasr Sports Club Dubai.

Fofana has long been regarded as the greatest idol of his home country. Because of his excellent technique of left-sided player was nicknamed The dribbler, but was also known as the black diamond.
