Yoyoy Villame

Yoyoy Villame (* 1938 in Bohol as a novel Villame, † 18 May, 2007 Las Piñas ) was a Filipino singer and actor.

Life

Yoyoy Villame began his career as an actor in the early 1970s. One of his greatest roles he had in the thriller Biktima 1974. In this decade he made as a singer attention to itself and could enter with numerous songs in the U.S. charts. His greatest achievements Mag- Exercise Tayo was built in 1977. In 2004, he played his last film role in the movie Women of the Breakwater. His songs were influenced by the history of his home and dealt with topics such as the Portuguese explorer Magellan, who died in the service of Spain in the Philippines. Villame also published the book "Philippine Geography ", a work of unusual places in the Philippines.

Yoyoy Villame died after heart problems in the Las Piñas Medical Center. He is survived by a daughter, Hannah Villame, which is also a singer.
