Yue Yuen Industrial manufactures footwear and is particularly active as a sports shoe manufacturer. Yue Yuen is the world's largest contract manufacturer (contract producer) sports shoe brand items. The company produces at various locations in China, Vietnam and Indonesia. Among the produced brands include Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Asics, New Balance, Puma, Timberland and Rockport, but which are not proprietary brands. Chairman Tsai Chi Neng of the company is (as of 2007). The company is controlled by the Taiwanese Tsai family. The company was founded in April 1988. In July 1992, the company went to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In April 2004, the Company acquired 31% stake in the company Eagle Nice ( International) Holdings Limited and built this share to 45 percent from 2005.
