Yuji Hirayama

Yuji Hirayama (Japanese平山 ユージ, Yuji Hirayama, born February 23, 1969 in the prefecture of Tokyo) is a Japanese rock climbers.

On 12 October 2008, he needed, together with Hans Florine, 2 hours, 37 minutes and 5 seconds for the ascent of The Nose route on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. This record was set on November 6, 2010 by Sean Leary and Dean Potter with a time of 2 hours, 36 minutes and 45 seconds.

Yuji is the first Asian climber, who won the World Cup climbing. He also was the first climber, the one 8c route ( " White Zombie " ) could climb onsight world.
