Yukie Ozeki

Yukie Ozeki (Japanese大关 行 江, Ozeki Yukie ) is a Japanese table tennis player. She won in the 1970s at the World Championships five bronze and a gold medal.

Career

Yukie Ozeki used the bat in the penholder style. In the Japanese National Championships, she won ten titles, namely 1967, 1970, 1971, 1973 and 1975 in single, double 1971 Miho Hamada as well as in the Mixed 1967 Satoru Kawahara, 1970 Nobuhiko Hasegawa and 1974 and 1975 with Shigeo Ito.

She was Asian champion in singles and doubles with Mieko Fukuno 1968. Another title she won in 1974 with the Japanese team. Six times she reached the final: 1972 and 1974 in single, double, 1967 ( with Nagata ) and 1974 ( with Sachiko Yokota ) and 1968 and 1972 in the team competition.

Yukie Ozeki took part in the World Championships 1971, 1973 and 1975. For the World Cup in 1969, she was not nominated for undisciplined behavior. In 1971, she was with the Japanese women's team world champion ahead of China. She was also in double with Setsuko Kobori third parties. More bronze medals she won in 1973 and 1975 with the team and in 1975 in a double with Sachiko Yokota and Mixed with Shigeo Ito. In 1974 she went to for open-ended American Championships and won here in singles.

In the ITTF World Ranking, she took second place in December 1968.
