Yun Seon-do

Yun Seon -do ( * 1587 in Seoul, † 1671) was a Korean poet and artist. He used the pseudonyms Gozan ( 고산 ;孤山) and Hae -ong ( 해옹 ;海 翁).

Yun Seondos best-known work is The Anglers calendar, a cycle with 40 Sijos. The work is the largest and most well known cycle of the classical period.

He spent his long retirement on the island Bogildo, which act many of his poems.
