Yuri Ilyich Druzhnikov
Yuri Ilyich Druschnikow (Russian Юрий Ильич Дружников; scientific transliteration Yuri Il'ič Družnikov; actually Yuri Izrailevich Alperowitsch; born April 17, 1933, Moscow, USSR; † 14 May 2008 Davis, California ) was a Soviet and Russian writer, journalist and dissident.
Druschnikow he worked as an actor, photographer, editor, journalist and travel correspondent, an author and a professor of Russian. He was also the Vice President of the American branch of International PEN Clubs.
His novel Angely na kontschike igly (Russian Ангелы на кончике иглы " angel on the needle tip "; eng translation by Thomas Moore under the title Angels on the Head of a Pin. ) Was included in the UNESCO collection of representative works.
