Yvonne Kenny

Yvonne Kenny ( born November 25, 1950 in Sydney ) is an Australian soprano.

Life and career

Your vocal training began Kenny only after they had already shot down a chemistry degree at the University of Sydney. Her career as a singer began in London in 1975 when she sang for the Opera Rara Society in a concert performance of the opera " Rosmonda d' Inghilterra " by Gaetano Donizetti.

She was engaged at the Covent Garden Opera London, where they soon set out with parts in operas by Mozart and Handel a name. Later, she sang at opera houses and festivals around the world, performed on radio and television, and has participated in numerous opera recordings.

Yvonne Kenny is regarded as a specialist in Baroque music, and as one of the most important Australian singers of her generation. More recently, she added her repertoire roles such as the Marschallin added in "Der Rosenkavalier" or the Countess in " Capriccio " by Richard Strauss.
