Żabiny

Żabiny ( German Seeben ) is a village in the powiat Działdowski in the Warmia - Mazury. It is ( German: ribs ) in the immediate vicinity of the village Rybno to the rural community it belongs to.

History

Seeben was known by the Tannenberg battle of the on August 26, 1914 General Hermann von François was ordered by Usdau proceed. However, he managed to take only the heights of Seeben. Supposedly the artillery is not yet arrived. So could only be taken on the following day Usdau. This delay, whether consciously or unconsciously brought, was decisive for the outcome of the battle.
