Žarnovica

Žarnovica ( Scharnowitz German, Hungarian Zsarnóca, latin Zarnovia ) is a town in central Slovakia.

It was first mentioned in writing in 1332 and divided into the following four districts:

  • Lukavica
  • Revištské Podzámčie (1971 amalgamated; German castle village)
  • Žarnovica
  • Žarnovická Huta (1960 incorporated )
