Zástřizly

Zástřizly ( German Sastrisel also Zástřizl ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 17 kilometers northeast of Kyjov and belongs to the Okres Kroměříž on.

Geography

The village on the upper reaches of the Litava lies on the northwestern foot of Mars Mountains. Beyond the broad Litavatales closes in the north mountainous area on the Littentschitzer. On the southern outskirts Zástřizly is affected by the European route 50/Staatsstraße I/50 between Bučovice and Uherské Hradiště. In the West, 432 Kyjov passes to Kroměříž.

Neighboring towns are Chvalnov in the north, Cetechovice in the northeast, Staré Hutě and Stupava the southeast, Přílepy in the south, Střílky the southwest, Kožušice in the west and Lísky in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Zástřizly was 1349. Owners was the noble family of Zástřizl, which had its headquarters at the local festivals and its possession until the 18th century extended to large parts of Moravia.

The celebrations, which probably was on the increased space in the local situation Dědina, the former distillery stamped on the day the townscape, was abandoned in 1590 and assigned to the reign Zástřizly Střílky.

During the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, the construction of a highway from Brno to Zlin, which was never completed began. Between 1939 and 1942 three highway bridges formed during Sastrisel.
